Speedy Bee ARF 25 (52")Clancy's Speedy Bee design now in a larger size for glow or electric! The Speedy Bee is a 4-channel mid-wing wood airframe design that resembles a golden age racer. The wingspan is 52" with a huge chord like the Lazy Bee. The Speedy Bee wing is flat across the top, but gets some dihedral benefit from the bottom surface taper. The ailerons are very large (often referred to as "barn door" ailerons) for better control at low speeds. The Speedy Bee is our most aerobatic Bee: side slips, inverted flight, knife-edges, and spins are possible. It's fast, fun, and unique. It's the Speedy Bee. |

Andy's sporty mid-wing Bee is now available as an ARF. The Speedy Bee Almost Ready To Fly. This design was originally reviewed in the June 98 RCM. Since then, Clancy Aviation has made several upgrades making this one of Andy's favorite ARF's so far! We've added an access door to the bottom of the fuselage making battery installation easier if flying it as an electric. It still features the rubber band retained wing and now has the engine mounted to the fuselage. And we eliminated the bellcrank linkage and now run separate servos for each wing, thus all the pilots with computer radios and mixing and can experiment with aileron/flap mixes. The construction itself is all laser cut and built on special jigs for precision providing superior alignment and performance. And we ONLY use REAL iron-on covering. Specifications: Power: |
